Summary:
The Housekeeper essentially performs the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, and the facility's policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

o Interpret work schedules and assignmentso Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily scheduleso Clean and/or vacuum front entry, lobby areas and public restrooms upon checking in, including:
o Nurses stationo Office areaso Hall handrailso Door closureso Fire extinguisherso Supply and exhaust ventso Anywhere prone to dust collectiono Clean assigned zone, proceeding in an orderly fashion and doing a complete job, including:
o Doors and door frameso Wallso Ceilingso Patient room furnitureo Windows and sillso Overbed lightso Bed frames and railso Exhaust ventso Any item prone to dust collectiono Clean dining tables, chairs, ice machines, coffee pots and other equipment immediately after patient mealso During cleaning process, monitor location of chemicalso Complete monthly bed cleaning duty, as posted on monthly time scheduleo Fill dispensers:
toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.
o Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions, spills, excess carts, baskets, supplies, and equipmento Discard waste and trash into proper containers and re-line receptacles with plastic linerso Properly set up appropriate Caution and safety signs before performing housekeeping taskso Ensure that work assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc.
are properly stored during work periods, as well as before leaving areao Assist in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc.
